It's summer! I'm eating more, I'm drinking more, but luckily I'm moving and laughing more, so that's hopefully burning a few of those extra calories.
The highlight of this month would have to be the Pecha Kucha Night at Kino Aero. If you haven't heard of Pecha Kucha yet, then I highly recommend you read a little more about it and go to one of the events if you get a chance.
'PechaKucha Nights are informal and fun gatherings where creative people get together and share their ideas, works, thoughts, holiday snaps -- just about anything, really -- in the PechaKucha 20x20 format. With PechaKucha Nights now happening in over 900 cities around the world, we have discovered that most cities -- not just Tokyo -- have virtually no public spaces where people can show and share their work in a relaxed way...' My other highlight was getting the first part of my sleeve tattoo done at the fabulous Johnny The King Tattoo Studio. The final piece will be a mixture of the 3 cities which I call home: Berlin, Prague and London. Loving it.
We're obviously spending more time outside right now, which is definitely a highlight worth mentioning. Spending most of our time at Naplavka (by the river) or at Letna Beer Garden (great city view) is nothing I can complain about. Have a look at my Prague recommendations for summer here >>

I'm a discovery addict - for great spots around the city and talented people. Pecha Kucha hands me exactly what I'm passionate about and I'm grateful for that :)
Fun, industrial space. Great place when the weather's not perfect and you need somewhere to hide. It's a cultural centre with lot's of shows taking place in their own theatre.
We've been on the hunt for a great Slovakian 'Kapustnica' (in Prague) for some time now. We've finally found one and it's just like our mama makes it!
Mr. Hot Dog is not a new discovery, however it was my first time I attended their Lobster Roll event with a bit of bubbly on the side. It was delicious and I'll be signing up for the next one for sure.
I love tattoos, but I've never really felt comfortable in tattoo studios. I can't fully explain why, but it feels intimidating and the people working there aren't exactly very approachable. This place is different and I'm finally enjoying the process. Super friendly, down-to-earth, helpful bunch of people!
Nejen Bistro is not a new discovery, but I've discovered that I'd like to eat there every single day. This place is on top of my list in Prague, and yes I repeat - I'd like to practically live there!
Sometimes, when you don't have time or money for a proper holiday, it's lovely to find an expat community and join their events. The Portuguese events in Prague are always full of energy and love. They know how to create an atmosphere. This one was on a boat at Naplavka.
Cafe Cafe is a (slightly) pretentious place, but I can't deny the fact that everything they serve is scrumptious. The cakes are the best I've ever tasted. I just pretend I don't see the snobiness and I'm happy! Simple :)
If you're struggling to find a nice present for your boyfriend, then I think this is something you should consider. There are different vouchers online which you can pick from. Have a look at what would be the best fit for him.
